Information
During the latter part of the Middle Ages, many garments became more advanced and fashion became both shorter and tighter. The word cotehardie originally comes from the French loose-fitting outfit cotte. As the fashion became more narrow and daring, this garment came to be called cotehardie, which stands for daring cotte.
