Some form of tunic was the most common undergarment. Carrying linen near the body is not only nice, it is also practical. We have developed a Viking-era tunic that is more comfortable in the fit than our usual. It is also longer the seed is better suited to be worn without overcoat than the regular tunics. There are many finds of different types of vests from the Viking Age. Many with surprisingly advanced cuts. Another garment that was probably common in the Viking Age was the rock. The Vikings, of course, also adorned their heads with some kind of cap. The round-ball cap, often adorned with a decorative band, and a similar variant with a pointed top that folds down like a tab.
